Amipol T, Combat Varroatosis in Bees - 20 strips

£21.75
Product Information

Honey bee families are active in the spring and aestivo-autumnal months and are therefore at risk of Varroatosis. Varroatosis is the term given to the disease contracted by honey bees through the parasitic mite, Varroa. As our honey bees have no natural defences to Varroatosis, bee keepers need to take action as if left untreated UK honey bee colonies will eventually die out.

Quantity and Procedure

For large families i.e 10-12 nested frames, 2 Amipol T strips should be placed every 10-12 frames. For smaller families i.e 6 frames, 1 Amipol T strip is substantial.

When fitting the Amipol T strips to your bee hive, a good method is using office paper clips. Simply get the paper clips and attach to strips then thread either thin wire or a twig through the paper clip and suspend in the nests.

Storage Conditions

Keep Amipol T strips in a dry, cool place segregated from food and out of reach of children and animals. Amipol T strips should also not be kept in direct sunlight.
